How it all started

When I first met my husband, we were living half way across the States from one another. We made a very long-distance relationship as short as we possibly could – until one too many airport trips and hours on planes led to a big decision: I made the move.

As with all military assignments, they eventually come to and end. When his time in the desert wrapped up, so did our long-distance. With it came our expedited wedding – which didn’t feel rushed to us at all. It was always the plan.

Fast forward six months, and I was no longer stateside – I was learning how to live married life in the UK! What an adventure!

Long before we said “I do,” we’d talked about what mattered to us. If we were ever blessed with children, we both felt deeply that I should be home with them. So we didn’t wait. I dove into full-time homemaking and haven’t looked back since.

Why I started this blog

From that moment on, I’ve been learning, tweaking, experimenting and growing in all areas I now share with you – motherhood, homemaking, routines, cooking, hosting, and living beautifully with intention.

It’s a job I never planned to have – butit’s the one I love more than anything. I tell everyone all the time “I love my life!”

God knew the desires of my heart, and He gave me a life I’m so grateful for. After spending the last ten years really honing my craft, I realized there’s a younger version of me out there – just starting out, looking for answers, and wondering if she’s doing enough.

This space is for her.

To help her find her footing.
To remind her she’s not alone.
To offer the grace she needs, and a friend along the way.
